Vice President of Marketing
Based in Atlanta, Georgia
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for implementing and managing strategic and tactical
Women and Children’s Health (WCH) marketing initiatives through
collaboration and close interface with WCH senior leaders, business
partners, and thought leaders while considering corporate and other
key business objectives. Activities may include: Concept
development, market research, analysis, copywriting, editing and
production coordination. Improves or initiates positioning,
marketing outreach, industry visibility, media relations and sales
collateral.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may
be assigned.
Responsible for implementing and managing strategic and tactical
marketing initiatives to support corporate positioning and business
objectives
Direct start-to-finish implementation and on-time, distribution of
strategic client communications per approved plan, including company
update letter, Headlines in Health and Productivity newsletter,
Annual Report mailing, etc. Includes materials development.
Implement and manage tracking metrics to prove value of marketing
initiatives.
Manage distribution list process, in close conjunction with Sales
Operations, to ensure accurate client and prospect distributions.
Monitor division’s web site development and maintenance and the
continual advancement in coordination with corporate positioning,
sales objectives and latest trends.
Assist in advancing companies marketing efforts through
recommendation of new marketing efforts to achieve company and
department objectives.
Support sales department in creation of sales collateral and sales
tools including concept, design, copywriting, editing, proofing, and
other tasks as needed.
House and manage executive approvals of marketing materials.
Work in conjunction with corporate, product marketing, marketing
firms and other external vendors to achieve company and department
objectives.
PROBLEM SOLVING/ DECISION MAKING
Assess situations and conditions requiring conceptual, analytical
and interpretive thinking and converting these assessments into
quantifiable plans.
ACCOUNTABILITY/DIMENSIONS/SCOPE
Provide strategic marketing direction and implement marketing best
practices to drive growth potential. The incumbent will galvanize
the Company’s various marketing resources to both build and leverage
WCH brands equities among customers while driving revenue across
Company divisions.
Work with the WCH EVP and President to develop and implement
marketing strategies to allow for synergistic growth.
MANAGERIAL
Work with WCH EVP, President and Senior, Management to set marketing
strategy and execute.
Recruit, select, train, coach, performance manage, motivate to
retain and terminate as required.
Manage budget, P & L and capacity for bottom-line management.
Participate in WCH senior management meetings; and other meetings as
required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing,
Communications or related field, with graduate degree in Marketing
or Business preferred; at least 5 years marketing experience with
responsibility for staff supervision; Budget, P & L experience; and
excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written
communication skills.
Preferred: Experience within healthcare, Biotech, medical industry
with knowledge of hospitals, physicians, payers, patients and
pharmaceutical industry.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office 2007, including Word and
PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Internet and other social media.
