Regional Director of Managed Care

Contact assigned payors to enhance, improve service and maintain contracts for company products and services. Target assigned payors with a focus on enhancing revenue by expanding new services and increasing penetration within company customers. Position company as a specialty maternal/newborn organization offering a continuum of care in the maternity segment. Coordinate with available resources in the development of Episode of Care, carve-in and carve-out products and services, healthcare industry developments, health plan risk contract models, and competitor's services to promote sales opportunities.



Responsibilities

Interacts with all levels of personnel at targeted health plans including case managers, contracting, medical directors, CMO, CEO, CFO, COO, and VP of Heath Services and all C Level decision makers.

Defines and implements strategies to increase revenue and develops plans utilizing available resources to effectively penetrate the assigned payor customers.

Services and maintains assigned payor accounts and enhances business relationships through ongoing interaction with key payor customers. Provides proactive customer service, which includes facilitating resolution of customer issues and fulfillment of customer requests.

Demonstrates proficiency in the development and implementation of large group and individual presentations for targeted payor customers that contribute to enhanced business revenue.

Participates in the implementation of approved business strategies for presenting the company product portfolio to payor customers to ultimately grow revenue through price increases, full service contracts, therapy amendments, DM and CM product lines.

Provides or coordinates clinical support during the sales process to enhance payor awareness and increase utilization of company products and services.

Negotiates contracts with payor customers for company products and services and achieve revenue growth, product implementation, and scope of service expansion in line with company strategic objectives.

Coordinates new and/or existing client implementation/reimplementation of services to ensure a smooth and timely program launch.

Works closely with corporate contracting and legal to develop, negotiate, and execute contracts in a timely manner with terms that match companies strategic objectives.

Participates in the development/production of targeted pull through initiatives through coordination of company resources including sales, marketing, pharmacy, operations, and medical affairs resulting in increase payor revenue.

Demonstrates a highly interactive customer relations approach utilizing face to face contacts to build relationships and achieve desired results.

Actively utilizes reporting and tracking tools to demonstrate payor penetration activities and provides to Vice President of Managed Care.

Position is often required to independently develop strategies and prioritize sales/revenue objectives.


Position Requires


Position requires frequent travel that may require overnight stays. Travel demands will be determined by the assigned territory and assigned number of customers.

At all times, the incumbent must be aware of and adhere to all federal and state laws and regulations in performing the duties of this position. The incumbent must be aware of and adhere to the laws and regulations addressing relationships with patients, suppliers and referral sources. The incumbent must be familiar with and adhere to companies "Code of Conduct" and its Compliance Policies and Procedures.



Education


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in healthcare, business, or a related field



Experience


Three to five years commercial executive account sales experience in a managed care environment. Must have a track record of demonstrated sales achievements and success calling on health plans.

Maternal/newborn specialty or home healthcare experience highly desirable.

Knowledge of and experience with the payor marketplace contracting and product trends is required.



Communication Skills
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to obtain and foster positive relationships with customers.



Salary

$95k to $110k Base

$50k in Commission

$600.00 Car Allowance

All gas paid separately
