Regional Director of Managed Care

Description:

 

Responsible for selling directly to Managed Care Companies, services and products that are focused in the Ob/Gyn, Genetic and Oncology Market.  Responsible for targeted client bill contracting, and managed care contracting for commercial and government sponsored health insurance plans in assigned geography.  Exchanges pertinent sales information with VP of Managed Care, VP of Sales, Regional Director, Territory Managers and other appropriate sales personnel. Analyzes customers' near-term and longer-range requirements and promotes consideration of company services to meet or exceed such requirements. Conducts appropriate financial analyses and considers impact of applicable regulatory requirements. May lead team of sales/technical/marketing personnel on larger sales efforts. Typically involved with senior management and/or multiple decision-makers in order to conclude sale. Serves as liaison between customer and company personnel on administrative matters. Arranges contact with appropriate technical, financial and management personnel as necessary. Develops multilevel relationships within Managed Care Organizations.  Develops contracting plans and forecasts. Participates in preparation of sales plans. Provides estimates of anticipated orders to management, as well as estimates of market potential by product/service/geographic area. Develops and assists in implementation of referral "pull-through" and "leakage" strategies. Provides feedback to appropriate company personnel regarding customer response to sales offerings and service. Arranges for customer visits to labs or to company-sponsored educational briefings. Keeps abreast of Marketing plans and incorporates into sales approach. May represent organization at trade shows or scientific meetings.

 

Experience:

 

Bachelor’s degree required.

Six plus year of sales experience in Genetics, Biotechnology or Healthcare related industry

Three plus years of managed care related contracting experience.

Demonstrated experience in conducting financial analyses and in applying knowledge of regulatory and business issues to successful contract sales.

Must have Ob/Gyn experience and/or Oncology experience with a proven track record

 

Salary:

 

Base Salary between $90,000 and $110,000 – Depending on Experience
