The Company develops, manufactures, markets, and sells innovative
solutions to improve the clinical management of cancer, including
detection, diagnosis, staging, and treatment.
Description:
The Physician Sales Representative is responsible for calling on OB/GYN
physicians within an assigned territory. He/She must provide the
physician with complete information pertaining to the product lines
in a manner that will ensure the appropriate use of these products
and achieve the business potential of the territory. This individual
is responsible for sales, marketing feedback, and customer
satisfaction relative to sales activities.
Principal Accountabilities:
Invest the time and the effort to achieve the established goals for
the territory such as sales quotas, market share, product
evaluations, etc.
As directed by the Regional Sales Manager, work with the Laboratory
Account Executive as a member of the local account team to implement
business strategies.
Represent the company at local, regional, and national meetings and
conventions as required.
Plan and organize daily sales call activities to optimize the use of
time and maximize the achievement of sales and market share
objectives.
Maintain timely and relevant communication with the Regional Sales
Manager and other members of the local account team. Effectively
communicate competitive information and market information on a
timely basis.
Manage territory expenses within guidelines.
Education and Experience Required:
A Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from a four year college or
university with 3 — 5 years medical sales experience is preferred.
Ob/Gyn background is preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such package
inserts,
professional journals, technical procedures, and government
regulations.
Computer proficiency is required, including skills with the use of
Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Comprehensive knowledge of current U.S. healthcare trends that can
be integrated into territory sales strategies.
Well developed organizational and time management skills.
Salary
Base - $50,000 to $55,000, Depending on Experience
Commission – Approximately $10,000 a quarter
